The Finch West light rail line is due to open in 2023.

CANADA: The Mosaic Transit joint venture which holds the PPP concession to design, build, finance and maintain Toronto’s Finch West Light Rail Transit line has subcontracted Bombardier Transportation to provide 30 years of infrastructure and rolling stock maintenance services.

The 11 km light rail line from Finch West metro station to Humber College with 16 surface and two underground stops is scheduled to be completed in 2023, with services to be operated by Toronto Transit Corp.

‘We bring our deep understanding of transportation in the Greater Toronto & Hamilton Area and our extensive experience as a provider of mobility solutions and participant in PPPs to ensure that Finch West LRT will provide the same high level of safe, efficient and reliable transportation as the rest of the Metrolinx network’, said Elliot G Sander, Bombardier Transportation’s President, Americas Region, on December 23.
