UPM Raflatac will be highlighting the contactless ticketing RFID inlays which will be supplied to Moscow Metro under a contract agreed in February. The Finnish firm is to supply the inlays in co-operation with Moscow-based Comvision, for use in tickets which are to be supplied by JSC Mikron.One of the world’s busiest metros, the Moscow Metro carries 8?2?million passengers on a normal weekday. Contactless smart cards are already in use for season tickets, and the latest contract expands smart card use to include multi-trip tickets valid for a set number of journeys. An initial 5?million tickets will be supplied, but usage is expected to rise to 30?million inlays per month by late summer.n
