GEC Hong Kong has selected Cegelec Projects’ Transportation & Industrial Power Supplies Division to commission the power supply equipment for MTR Corp’s Airport Railway, being supplied by Cegelec under a contract awarded in March 1995. The 13 substations for the 1.5 kV DC traction supply and the local feeds to the seven passenger stations have a total installed capacity of over 180MW.
