Travel pass lasts 180 days

Tranz Rail has launched the Best of New Zealand Pass for use by tourists. In addition to the company’s long distance trains and inter-island ferries, it is valid on some heritage railways and coach services. However, it cannot be used on the subsidised commuter services around Wellington and Auckland.
