
INDIA: Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has launched the Mumbai ONE App, integrating public transport services provided by 11 metro, bus, monorail and suburban rail operators to remove the need for multiple apps, bookings and paper tickets
It has a tri-lingual interface in Hindi, Marathi, English, with features including a multimodal journey planner to provide the fastest and most cost-effective travel routes across the city, real-time information on route availability and service advisories. Domestic and international tourists can access information on major attractions and dining and cultural hubs.
The app supports cashless and contactless transactions via digital wallets and prepaid balance.
Safety features include an emergency helpline and an emergency function that transmits location information to preselected trusted contacts when activated.
