Koleje Dolnoslaskie has ordered five Newag Impuls 31WEa electric multiple-units.

POLAND: Voivodship-owned local passenger train operator Koleje Dolnośląskie signed a 78m złoty order for five four-car Newag Impuls 31WEa electric multiple-units on March 10.

The 160 km/h units with a capacity of 460 passengers are to be delivered by the end of this year for use on the Wrocław – Rawicz route.

They will be will be compliant with European Technical Specifications for Interoperability, and incorporate some slight differences from 11 similar units which KD has previously ordered, including changes to the cab front, LED headlights and interior layout.
