CZECH REPUBLIC: The first of 18 electric multiple-units which Polish manufacturer Pesa Bydgoszcz is building for RegioJet was sent to the Velim test centre for trials in late February.
The 200 km/h trainsets were ordered in 2023 when RegioJet won a competitively tendered Ministry of Transport contract to operate service R9 Praha - Havlíčkův Brod - Brno/Jihlava from 15 years from December 2026.

The EMUs from the manufacturer’s InterRegio200 family are to be supplied in two configurations, with 11 four-car units designated as Class 666 and seven three-car sets as Class 667.
They will have low-floor access, a three classes of accommodation, dedicated spaces for bicycles and pushchairs and a kitchenette.
