THAILAND: General contractor CH Karnchang Public Co has awarded Alstom a €14m contract covering track, third rail power supplies and a depot for an extension of Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Line, also known as the Green Line.
In April Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand awarded CH Karrnchang a 2·4bn baht contract to extend the line by 12·6 km from Bearing to Samutpakran, adding nine stations. Completion is scheduled for 2017.
