MEXICO: Bombardier Transportation has signed an agreement to sell the electrical wiring interconnection systems activities at its Huehuetoca site to the Motherson Rolling Stocks subsidiary of Motherson Sumi Systems.

‘This divestiture is in alignment with our global transformation strategy of reducing the activities to our core and integration competencies’, said Chief Operating Officer Jim Vounassis when the agreement was announced on October 20.

Elliot G Sander, President, Americas Region, said the transaction was ‘beneficial to both parties, since Bombardier Transportation has been seeking to establish a long-term supplier partnership for electrical harnesses and assemblies in the Americas region and MRS is an excellent partner for this’.
