NORTH AMERICA: North American Rail Solutions has announced a ‘strategic combination’ with ZA Construction to provide railway design, maintenance, repair, construction and support services in the USA and Canada.
ZA was founded by Zach Ainsworth in 2010. It is based in Brandon, Mississippi, and provides outsourced rail support services. The combination with NARS ‘will allow ZA to continue to service our important Class I, short line and industrial customers, while benefitting from the resources and North American reach of a much larger company’, Ainsworth said on September 4. ‘I look forward to being part of the NARS team and expanding the customer base, capabilities and value proposition of the combined business.’
North American Rail Solutions has more than 45 offices in the USA and Canada, and provides railway asset services to Class I, shortline, mass transit and industrial railway customers.
