SWEDEN: Vossloh has acquired Borlänge-based Nordic Tamping Service, which operates in Sweden and Norway.
The purchase was completed on January 9 and NTS will be integrated into Vossloh’s Lifecycle Solutions business unit.
Vossloh said the experienced team and technical equipment from NTS will enable it to expand its range of services for Scandinavian infrastructure managers to include ballast tamping.
‘NTS completes our portfolio in Scandinavia’, said Vossloh CEO Oliver Schuster. ‘This enables us to offer our customers an even more comprehensive range of services from a single source than before.’
Vossloh currently employs around 530 people in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, where its activities range from the supply of turnouts, fastening systems and concrete sleepers to the provision of track construction and maintenance services.
