Gold and uranium producer Navoi Mining & Metallurgical Co has taken delivery of a range of track maintenance vehicles supplied by Russian company Sinara Transport Machines.

UZBEKISTAN: Gold and uranium producer Navoi Mining & Metallurgical Co has taken delivery of a range of track maintenance vehicles supplied by Russian company Sinara Transport Machines.

The order includes 12 PM-820 USO flat wagons with removable equipment and attachments for transporting track panels between 12∙5 m and 25 m long.

There are also six VPM-770 ballast hopper wagons, with power-actuated unloading, batch dropping and levelling capabilities.

An MPK powered flat vehicle can be used for shunting and moving track panels as part of a track-laying train Its cab features air-conditioning, a radio and audio remote warning system, and is suitable for operations at temperatures between -40°C and +50°C.
