TURKEY: Samsun Metropolitan Municipality announced on October 1 that it had awarded Durmazlar a €12·3m contract to supply eight trams. These are required to augment the current fleet of 21 for the opening of the 14 km extension of the route from Gar to Tekkeköy to the southeast of the city.

The trams will be 31·8 m long, 2 650 mm wide and 3·3 m high with capacity for 290 passengers. They will contain six LCD passenger information screens and LED lighting.
